Ten Prized Dogs"
The manuscript
is close to finished and I am working on character design.
The story takes place in 14th century China, so I have been doing a lot of research and playing with
different papers.
"The Silverbacks Tale"
I have officially received the polite "no
" letter from two publishers.
The first publisher said "no thanks we have just suspended our children's
division".
The second publisher sent me a form letter then a follow up letter, 2 weeks later from the editor.
The follow up letter was very encouraging,
she let me know that she loved the book,
especially the ending and the twist. She gave me some words of advice which were very helpful and an explanation as to why they as a publisher would never publish a book like this, but did give me the names of a few that might. So for now I am re-writing to see if i can make
the changes she suggested without losing the core of the book.
